The Stillman Diet is also known as the Doctor’s Quick Weight Loss Diet which was invented by Irwin Maxwell Stillman. It is a high-protein and no carbohydrate diet regimen but differs from Atkins Plan in that it is also a low-fat diet. The diet prohibits eating bread, vegetables, fruit, sugar, alcohol condiments, butter, dressings and any kind of fat or oil. The diet requires you to drink at least eight glasses of water a day are in order to free the body of unwanted ketone. Drinking tea, coffee, and non-caloric soft drinks is allowed but only in addition to the water requirement. It is also recommended that you eat six small meals a day rather than the three large ones we are accustomed to. Taking vitamin supplements throughout the dieting process is strongly advised so you will not lack any essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs and which you cannot get by eating only protein-rich foods.

An advantage of this diet is that you get more results as compared to the Atkins diet in that you can loose at least 7 to 15 lbs (3-7 kg) during the first week.

Here is very high-protein recipe for you to start on your Stillman Diet:

Cod and chicken casserole

Ingredients:

1\2 pounds cod
1 pound cooked, chopped skinless chicken breast
3-4 medium egg whites
1/4 cup dry curd cottage cheese
1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce or chilli sauce

Directions:

1.mix the salt, pepper and squeezed lemon juice with the cod and chicken breasts.
2.place the mixture in the bottom of a casserole.
3.layer the cottage cheese over it.
4.brush the egg over the cheese.
5.dribble over the hot sauce or chilli sauce.
6.Bake at 350 degrees for about half an hour.
